I have a box of minidiscs with nothing but recordings of ice on them, most of them from when I was at the South Pole. Somewhere in that box is a recording from my parents' backyard, at night when the ice all began to melt and fall from the trees. This piece is made from that recording and a scrambled NPR feed. Ingratiating lounge music plays in any one of several backgrounds.

On the technical front, I've got Java controlling AudioMulch. The possibilities are endless.
